Curation Approach
We plan our programme year by year, starting in December, so there are always opportunities to get involved whether you are a curator or an artist. We are closely partnered with Canal Dream CIC who lead on the curation of the festivals we run yearly.

Our curatorial approach is charaterised by three values:
Experimental
We like art and performances that surprise, are spontaneous, do something new, excite, are memorable, make the viewer think.
Site-specific
The boat and canal are extraordinary spaces, quite distinct normal white-walled galleries. They offer a wide variety of siting possibilities – the boat roof, domestic interior, the mooring garden, the canal water, etc. We believe that art we select for inclusion should in some way respond to its chosen site, and be diminished if it were displayed elsewhere.
Engaged
Whether it is by collaborating creatively, working as a group, displaying as a group, working across disciplines, working with the public or viewers, the weak working with the strong, we seek to do it and to celebrate it. At the same time we seek to empower participants to be agents of social and environmental change and justice.
